Flynco constructed this 20,000-square-foot, two-story Simmons Bank facility in Jonesboro — a strikingly modern structure that has been nominated for an AIA design award. The building features an exposed steel frame with warm wood tongue-and-groove decking and expansive glass curtain walls on three sides, creating a transparent and welcoming presence. At night, the exterior comes alive with LED fin lights and a prominent illuminated tower that can display vibrant light shows in celebration of holidays and community events. Designed to serve as both a functional banking facility and an architectural landmark, the project reflects Simmons Bank’s commitment to innovation, openness, and community connection.

The facility’s design blends modern construction methods with subtle nods to the Delta region, incorporating deep overhangs, sunshade blades, and covered porches for both aesthetic and functional benefits. Public spaces are wrapped in glass beneath a sculpted roofline, while private offices and meeting spaces are set behind a more solid brick façade.
