Flynco’s award-winning construction of the Little Rock Job Corps Center consolidated multiple Department of Labor facilities across Pulaski County into a single, 30-acre campus. Comprised of eight pre-engineered metal buildings, the center provides housing for approximately 275 residential students, along with space for 30 non-residential participants, and includes an array of vocational training areas, such as vehicle maintenance, carpentry, and welding shops. Students also benefit from 30 multi-purpose classrooms, administrative offices, a security center, dental facilities, and an infirmary to support a wide range of educational and personal needs. Additional amenities feature a gymnasium with a weight room, media room, and theater, a cafeteria with a commercial kitchen and culinary arts training space, two dormitories, and a maintenance support building.
Delivered on a fast-track schedule with a stipulated 480-day completion, Flynco not only met but surpassed expectations by finishing the project ahead of schedule and under budget—an achievement that earned the construction firm an Excellence in Construction Award from the Associated Builders and Contractors. This success highlights Flynco’s dedication to precise coordination, cost efficiency, and exceptional workmanship.
